Washington University Information Technology (WashU IT) delivers integrated, customer-focused digital services that support the University’s academic research with reliable technology solutions that enhance learning, discovery, and patient care across the University.

Who We Are

Our Mission: To be the trusted strategic technology partner enabling the university's mission by delivering secure, innovative, and information-rich solutions.

WashU IT was born of the unification of three University technology organizations coming together to better serve the technology needs of the University community. WashU IT supports the University through our mission, vision, and values by delivering integrated, customer-focused IT services to University schools and departments.

The WashU IT organization is under the direction of the Office of the Chief Information Officer, guided by Vice Chancellor for Technology and Chief Information Officer Jessie Minton.

What We Do

Our Guiding Principles: Guided by a set of principles, we work to provide technology services that meet the needs and expectations of the WashU community. Learn more about Guiding Principles.

Understanding that technology is vital to the way we operate — from enabling our students, doctors, and researchers to acquire and share knowledge to facilitating basic administration and operations tasks for staff — we work to develop and maintain integrated, responsive digital environments suited for learning, research, innovation, and world class patient care. As technology evolves and the adoption of new technologies increases exponentially — with each incoming freshman class, each advancement in healthcare innovation, each research grant requirement, each new learning model — we strive to develop new ways to support our end-users. Each day, we work to leverage new technologies to position WashU for the future.
